DStv Kenya packages, prices, channels, & customer care contacts

DStv is the OG of pay tv and the oldest service provider known to Kenyans. It was here long before GOtv, Zuku, and others rewrote the gospel of pay tv.

DStv is a brand of Multichoice, a video entertainment and internet company operating in Africa. This digital satellite tv service has been around since 1995 and for long, it claimed the biggest share of the Kenyan market.

Not anymore.

Things are totally different today. We have options. We can opt for pay tv services that suit different lifestyles and/or pockets. Let’s just say that these “other” options have been quite attractive. Owing to this, DStv has continually fought to regain lost leadership in the local pay television market share.

In a bid to beat rising competition from other players in the sector, the direct broadcast satellite service has over the years revised its channel numbers and prices. The most recent being in September 2017 when the prices were slashed.

GOvt, Zuku, and Startimes claim a bigger market share at the moment. Their prices are lower compared to that of DStv and this may explain the high subscription numbers. Of these, GOtv packages seem to be the most attractive.
