BASF appoints Juliana Rotich as cluster head for East African hub

Juliana Rotich is the new country cluster head for BASF’s East African hub.

Her role will entail leading regional operations by focusing on a strategic plan with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations with BASF’s innovative products and solutions.

Ms. Rotich is not a new face to this organization as she has previously served as an advisor to the Councils of BASF.

The leading German-based chemical manufacturer stated that her appointment is evidence of the quality of local talent to help stimulate business growth in Africa.

Speaking after confirming her appointment, Ms. Juliana expressed her excitement terming the opportunity as a platform to grow the company’s footprint in East Africa.

She has also held various positions as Program Director, Data Analyst, and Consultant at several high technology companies.

She is a Trustee of Bankinter Foundation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Spain, Board member of Digital Impact Alliance and the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.

Ms. Juliana Rotich was a Co-Founder and CEO at Ushahidi Inc.

Her appointment is great news and a boost for the local tech scene as it rewards the fight for gender equality especially when it comes to the award of such opportunities.
